Terms of Service

These terms cover the Calyx TV app and this website, calyxtv.app. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What you may do

We give you a personal, non-exclusive license to install and use Calyx TV on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell, rent or share the app, or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows it.

The public beta

Calyx TV is in public beta and is free to use through TestFlight. A beta can have bugs, lose settings and change from one build to the next. Each build stops opening after 90 days, so keep TestFlight updated.

We may change, pause or end the beta, or remove a feature, at any time. If we ever charge for the app, we will announce it first on this website and in the Telegram community.

Your videos and sources

Calyx TV does not provide, host or sell any videos or data sources. It plays files from your own storage and from cloud drives you sign in to, and it can load data sources that you add yourself, including sources that use the CatPawOpen protocol.

You are responsible for everything you add and play. Only use videos and sources that you have the right to use, and follow the laws that apply to you and the terms of any service you connect. We do not review, endorse or control what you add. A data source is code you choose to install, so add only sources you trust.

Acceptable use

Do not use Calyx TV to break the law or to infringe someone else’s rights, and do not interfere with the app, this website or the Telegram community. If you do, we can end your access to the beta and ask you to stop.

Third-party services

Calyx TV works with services we do not run, such as TestFlight, the App Store, iCloud, AirPlay, your cloud drives, online subtitle sources and Telegram. Each is covered by its own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them or for what they do.

Apple

Calyx TV is an independent app and is not affiliated with Apple. These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no duty to provide support or maintenance for the app. Apple’s terms for TestFlight and the App Store, including its standard license agreement for apps, also apply.

No warranty

The app and this website are provided as they are and as available, without promises of any kind. We do not promise that Calyx TV will run without errors or play every file or source, or that HDR, subtitles, skip buttons or iCloud sync will work on your device and with your videos.

Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for lost data, settings or files, that come from using the app or this website. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the bottom shows the latest version, and using the app after a change means you accept it. For questions or problems, join the Calyx TV Telegram community.

Privacy

How data is handled is described in the website privacy page and the Calyx TV app privacy policy.
